Modern site people webpart - turn off hover cards or edit properties displayed
Hi, my organisation has recently launched a new intranet based in a SharePoint modern communications site. We have multiple People web parts scattered across a number of pages, however when you hover over a highlighted person the "card" that appears is linked to their Exchange profile and we have been using Delve as our profiles. My research shows that syncing between Exchange and Delve is difficult so is there any way instead to turn off "cards" or edit what properties are displayed?

Syncing happens automatically and you can't turn it off. What did you find that makes you think that it is difficult.
I don't think that you can change the attributes displayed on the card that pops when you hover a People web part. MS has been working to standardize and improve those cards across all of the office 365 suite.
If you want something custom, you will need to create your own web part.
