Modern SharePoint search from Home page

1. Home page “search this site” does not populate crawled documents with my managed metadata keywords

• Same search from the documents page is successful

1. Search results should only populate based on metadata keywords---must exclude like words in the document title line and document body

I have tried everything to resolve #1 and #2 with no success.

Any thoughts would be appreciated?
