Modern SharePoint Quick Launch Menu – parallel editing possible?

Hi Community!

We had the strange situation, that I made some changes in the site menu of a modern communication site, but next time I visited the site, these were gone (some menu points missing). This site has more than one editor. Is it possible for the other editor to start editing the quick launch menu, when I edit it? If so, whose changes are written to SharePoint?
