Modern Pages Comments Notifications not working

Hi,

is there anyone who experienced the same problem or could give me any guidance here? I created Sharepoint and I am using modern pages, with their comment section. At first, it was all working nicely and every time someone posted a comment I received a notification via email. But then suddenly I stopped receiving those notifications and I can't find out why as I didn't change anything and I am not able to figure out how to start receiving emails again. 

Also, is there any way how someone else could receive those notifications instead of me? I read somewhere that it might be possible by changing the page owner, but I can't find how to do this either.
