Modern list in web part
Hi community,
I have a question from a user about how the modern list opens up when it's added as a web part. The thing is that on the list itself she has set it to open "new item" in a dialogue box. It does that on the list. Then she has also added the list as a web part on the front page of her site, and here it opens in a new tab. I don't see any web part editing functionality to change this. But anyone of you know if there's anything we can do so it also opens up in a dialogue box from the web part?

MarianneMDThat's the way it works. If you open a list item or create a new item ON the list, it comes up in the right hand pane. If you have a web part on a page, it has to open in another tab because pages don't have a pop-out right pane. To the best of my knowledge, there is no out-of-the-box way to change that.

- Thanks Rachel, Thought that would be the case, but nice with some confirmation from others. :)
MarianneMD I do not know of any setting "Out of the box" that can solve that need but if You have a developer that knows "SharePoint Framework" he/she should be able to create a solution for You: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/sharepoint/dev/spfx/sharepoint-framework-overview
