Mobile notifications do not show up

Why do I not get any notifications on my iOS device when news is posted to a modern team site? I have the functionality turned on but I never receive any indication that a news article is posted. Is ...

I opened a ticket on this. Took a while but this was the response I got.

As discussed on call, the issue that we are facing is a known issue and our backend team is actively working on it. However, we do not have an ETA provided and would be fixed in the near future.

Hi all... sorry you're running into issues!  A few questions to start.  1) news notifications are sent out based on the folks you work with/around you, or based on someone in your org hierarchy sending it (e.g. your manager).  Which is the case for these instances where you expected to receive a notification but didn't?

 

2) Silly question... but can you go into the app and ensure that news notifications are turned on (Me tab -> Settings)?

 

3) iOS, Android or both?

    This means that the notifications will not be sent if I'm following the site where the news are published?

    In these instances I am writing the news articles and I never get a notification. On any device, Android or iOS.  Yes, notifications are enabled. Microsoft ticket number is 7355039 if you want to see the details.

      Are you getting notifications when others post?  You won't receive a notification for news posts that you publish.  Others should though.

       

      Do you have the full URL to the ticket you opened?

        Hello Nate Clinton, sorry for the delayed response. I don't have a URL to the ticket but it appears to now be working for me. I did not know that my own articles would not show up. If that was in any of the announcements about this functionality I missed it, might be helpful to make that more clear.
