Mixed up users and date in version history

Hi everyone,

I'm having a strange issue in SharePoint 2016 and version history.

I have a document library with version history active and for some users, when uploading a new version of a document, the version get mixed up.

When I check the version history, the first version got changed to a different date and creator is now the user who just uploaded the file. But, if I go to the file Properties, it has the correct date and creator name.

Has anyone got the some issue before? Any help is much appreciated.

So, it seems this only happens for a specific user when using the "explorer view" to copy files.
