Migration and thoughts on Flattening the architecture

Promote them, we have done this for several clients and have not regretted doing the extra work.
Pros outweigh the cons by far in my book.
Don't carry the technical debt forward if at all possible, be brave, bite the bullet and do your client a favor, they will be happier this summer when they are able to take advantage of all of the new stuff that makes their lives easier.
Be sure to activate Group Classification so that you can classify the sites and then easily close them down when the projects are done.
