Migration and thoughts on Flattening the architecture
I am migrating a bunch of classic Team sub-sites ( basically a team site for each project) from 2010 to O365. Should I leave them as sub sites under a "Projects" Site collection or make them site col...
SharePointMaven has an excellent blog post in favor of a flat architecture that is worth reading.
If I knew the sites were going to be used for the foreseeable future I would put in the work and split / flatten the sites. If there are sites that will not be used I would migrate as is and split / flatten them as time or opportunity allows.
