Microsoft SharePoint/Stream comments links not working
Hello, I am new to this forum and our company have problems with our SharePoint comments feature.
When a user receives an email saying they have been @mentioned, the link on the email stating "Go to comment" does not work *(screenshot 1) , and takes them to "This item might not exist or is no longer available" *(screenshot 2)
I've included screenshots below to help - does anyone have any idea how to fix this? Just tagging in some top contributors who may know. ganeshsanap eliekarkafy Le_Zek
Thank you, and look forward to hearing from you!
Seems like that user isn't the only one that had issues with notification, I didn't get this one but saw it by coincidence lol
How does the URL look for the user? (hide the Tenant url)
Does the user have access to the file ?
Has the user tried right clicking and copy url and pasting it into the browser?
Do you get the same for other files or just that one ?
I'm getting the feeling that this is a bug in your tenant where it generates a link to the comment but naming of the file or similar is causing issues. If so then Microsoft support is your best option

Hello eliekarkafy Thank you so much for your reply! Out of your 4 questions I have tried the last 3 and these unfortunately don't fix it for me/the team, so I assume the problem must lie within the first Question... The tenant URL is the same for all users concerned, so looks like your suggestion of Microsoft Support is the best way. Thank you so much though, I am grateful for your time.👍
