Microsoft Search Question using SharePoint and File Share Connector

Check the Microsoft Search configuration -- I did not see a "Content Sources" page -- only a Data Sources tab ... and the only "Data Source" shown here is my custom connector one
Check the default vertical: -- Shows all the standard out of the box ones plus my custom one
Check the search scope -- when I run a search, by default it returns results via 'All' which shows no results
But if I simply click on the OnPrem File Share vertical I do now get results -- I would have expected these to appear under All in a cluster associated with the OnPrem File Share content source, correct?
Did I miss anything?
Review the search results display settings to ensure that the results from your custom connector are being properly grouped and displayed in the search results page.
Consider creating a separate vertical for your custom connector to ensure that the results are being properly displayed and avoid any issues with the "All" vertical
- I must be missing something ... how do you associate the connector with the 'All' vertical? That is an OOTB vertical that cannot be modified and that I thought (by default) is supposed to aggregate all content sources.
As far as the Search Results go, I am using the OOTB M365 SharePoint Home Page Microsoft Search control to search from, and am not able to edit that results page (I am tenant admin).
The OnPrem File Share vertical that I show in the previous screenshot is a separate, custom vertical that I created for the connector.You are correct that the "All" vertical is an OOTB vertical that should, by default, show results from all content sources. However, it's possible that there may be a configuration issue or bug preventing the results from showing up properly.
To troubleshoot this issue, you can check the following:
1. Make sure that your custom content source is properly configured and connected to Microsoft Search, as I mentioned in my previous response. This will ensure that the results from the content source are available to be displayed in the search results.
