Katrina2023 Are you able to access SharePoint start site using URL in this format:

https://<tenant>.sharepoint.com/_layouts/15/sharepoint.aspx

I have seen few other users are also facing similar issues recently. I will suggest you to raise the support ticket with Microsoft directly and report this behavior, follow: Get M365 support - online support

Thanks for your help Ganesh yes I am able to access Sharepoint via that URL.

Will do as you suggest and raise a support ticket with Microsoft.
