Managing Access Requests

Hi,

In our SP Online tenancy, we want to encourage site owners to manage the users access on their sites, so we want to ensure that all access request emails are sent to them. Ideally this would be all members of the "<Site Name> Owners" group, not just a single nominated user's email address.

Currently our site collections are created by a centralised admin team, who use a service account as the primary administrator.

We dont specifically set a value in the "Site Permissions -> Access Request Settings -> Send all requests for access to the following e-mail address" field.

Is it possible to configure a SharePoint group on the site collection to be responsible for managing the site access, and for its members to receive these access request emails?

Thanks

Nigel

    Hi,

You cannot configure a SharePoint Group in the site's access request settings. One possible way to achieve this is to create a Mail enabled security group for each site collection. Grant that group permissions to the Site Collection by adding it to the owners group and configure the Group's e-mail address in the site's access request settings.
