M365 Group deleted and Modern site is broken
So here's my dilemma. I have a Modern SharePoint Site that used to be connected to an M365 Group. Some way or another, the M365 Group associated to that site either expired/got deleted and we are out...
Our workaround:
1. Deleted existing M365 Group
2. Site it will be automatically deletes after some time.
3. Restore site from deleted site
4. re-created M365 group from below URL
https://ORG.sharepoint.com/sites/SITE/_layouts/creategroup.aspx?mode=connectgroup
5. Go to M365 Admin center --> search "email address removed for privacy reasons" group under active users and groups.
6. added M365 Group into teams (Getting option like "Add teams". So that teams channel is activated.
7. After created New M365 group, site usage (analytics) report is coming up without any issues.
