List Web Part Broken on Modern Site Page

I have a list (preview) web part on a modern site page and it was working ok until recently. Now I can no longer create a new item using the New Menu. Something changed. I have to navigate to the actual list page to create a new item. Alyssa Danesh

This is a known issue. Sorry for the inconvenience. The fix is currently shipping and will be appearing in production this week.

Yeah this is a bug with the latest SharePoint release they have been pushing. Surprised it's not fixed by now, but you might want to submit a ticket as well, but because it's a preview web part might not get much priority.
