Links Web Part

Recently we were asked by a few users on how they could highlight articles hosted on external sites like news or marketing sites. Looking at the web parts available in Modern Pages, our users were thinking of something like the news web part because of its visual and design configuration.  However, it seems for reflecting external content we would use the Links web part.  It is good in that it provides an image and a sentence or so from the article as well as the source site and meets the requirement to highlight some of its content to draw user's interest.  However, we do not have options for editing the Links web part. For example the main ask we have heard is about the initial URL that has to be pasted into the web part.  That URL will become like the title of the web part and we were wondering if it could be improved so that we can at least hide that URL from view since the source URL is already present on what the Link web part renders (usually under the image in a friendly link format).
