ChrisWebbTechthanks, while that makes sense, I can't find any documentation describing this behavior. Have you seen any that I can share with a customer?

StephenRicethanks for the link to some documentation, but when I read that page, I do not see any discussion about the functionality to edit files that is enabled/disabled for guest users.
Is the statement "Can user other Office 365 apps" supposed to be telling me that they cannot use the desktop apps? if so, that is very cryptic and could use some elaboration to make it more clear. It would also be helpful if the documentation at https://support.office.com/en-us/article/share-sharepoint-files-or-folders-1fe37332-0f9a-4719-970e-d2578da4941c?ui=en-US&rs=en-US&ad=US was updated to describe this functionality that was deployed over 10 months ago..
- Nov 05, 2018Thanks Stephen, “specific users” will soon create guest accounts so that method will be able to be used for editing in office clients I believe once it goes live.
