Lines around picture in Modern page

We currently have a Classic page that I am recreating as a Modern page. I have created circles in PowerPoint that we used on our classic page as buttons that linked us to another page/site. Now when I use these circles on the modern page it is putting lines on each side of the picture. I do not have access to a graphics program to recreate the circles. Any suggestions on removing these lines?
