Launching a PowerPoint file in Slide Show view from Sharepoint Online
I have a PPSX file which uses the kiosk mode, because I want the navigation to be through action buttons rather than just simply clicking on the slides. I want to put a link to it on a SharePoint site...

Save the PpTX to PDF. The links to new data or slides work better.

JMOlin90 OMG, how difficult can it be Microsoft, do you ever read these blogs and create PTRs for the Microsoft design or development teams to address? Could Microsoft be proactive or perhaps let us know when Sharepoint will have a more usable solution?
- simondelisleDec 21, 2021Copper ContributorOK so I do finally have a solution that I found here:
https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/msoffice/forum/all/open-an-o365-powerpoint-file-in-presentation-mode/9b922332-4198-46c8-b1ac-62fa9f3a123d?auth=1
In short, open the PPTX file in SPO in Editing mode. In the URL you will see "?action=edit". Change that to "?action=embedview". It seems to work perfectly. It would have been nice if someone from MS could have just answered that 4 years ago...
As an aside you can even open to a specific slide by adding "?action=embedview&wdSlideId=slideId". Of course, getting the slideId is proving tricky. I got it once but now I cannot figure out how I did it!- Rebl56Apr 06, 2022Copper ContributorSorry for my lack of ignorance.. but how do you save the url once you change it? I tried the solution and works great but if I save file it reverts back to Edit view
