Are you looking at the user profile regional settings or at the site regional settings?
What does the site regional settings show you?
English (United Kingdom). I changed the setting to English (Canada) too, nothing changed.
Day and month are in the wrong language.

What does the site regional settings show you?Thanks John for the right direction. It was not the language setting of the site, the user profile regional setting was the cause.
