Issue with news webpart anyone having this?

We have a template page setup for people to use for creating news, this has a default image on it incase people don't have an image to upload. But what i'm finding is that even if i change the the image in the image box to a new image the thumbnail being displayed in the webpart is always this default image which no longer exists on that page, anyone else seeing this happen?
