Is there no way to remove the site name in the News webpart?

I'm building an intranet on a SP Online Communication site and there are no other SP sites that will feed into it. We've had feedback that the site name above every news part is confusing and would like to remove it - how can this be done? I've circled what I mean below in case I'm using the wrong terminology. Workarounds also welcome.

Thanks!

  • It seems either you have defined a site a Home Site what makes that every news published there is an authoritavie news or you have defined existing sites as Authoritative what makes the same effect. The solutions here are:
    (1) Remove the Home Site status to the site defined as Home Site. You can do this in the SPO Admin Center
    (2) Remove the Authoritative status for any site configured for that purpose. That can only be done with PowerShell

Thank you jcgonzalezmartin for your response.

This site is currently an unlaunched intranet - would it be best to do this just before launch, or at any time? Nobody has access to the site across our business yet apart from a few testers and unsure what it would change for them in terms of homepages etc.
