Inactive Tab Redirects to SharePoint Home
Hi DavidMichaelangelo Maybe the files are opening in preview mode? You can try using a different link to access the file. For example, use the "Copy link" option and open it in a new tab. I hope that helps!
Thanks michalkornet, but I don't believe that is the case. It happened to several files, at least a couple of which would not have been opened in preview mode. It took a long time for the issue to happen. The documents were sleeping tabs for a couple of weeks before suddenly all redirecting to the home page.
Hi DavidMichaelangelo, another idea came to my mind: maybe it is related to the expiration date of the link?
Unlikely. This was across several documents from several people, and our org does not have a default expiration date. My theory is it's just a bug when the tab is reloaded -- either due to a browser update, or system reboot. Hopefully something that happens very rarely . . .
