In a PnP search how long does the crawl take

Sadly I've now found that pNp search - you can't force a reindex on it. It isn't a standard library type item - it doesn't even appear as a library. The site reindex had no impact either.
I've now had suggestions that I actually need to get it to pick up the missing data by forcing a change on the missing data even if it is only putting back what is already there before the crawl will pick it up again. It sort of makes sense - why would you keep re-crawling something that is almost static data, hence it only picks up changes.
