Good morning! If this is a brand new list that you're just starting to fill in, and if your Excel spreadsheet has the data you need to import, I would recommend deleting your list and recreating it "Import from Excel" so all of that existing data fills in automatically. You can then edit the columns as needed. If that's not an option, you can copy the entire column from the Excel spreadsheet and use "Edit in Grid View" to paste it into the SharePoint list.
