Import list items to existing Issue Tracker

Hello,

I would like to append issues from a previous list (regular sharepoint list) to a new list that is based on the Issue Tracker template.

How woul I do that?

(The main reason I am switching, is that I would like to use the commenting feature in the Issue Tracker.)
