    Using guest access links is bad juju for images. Make sure permission or access for these files are set and use copy link but use the ‘people with existing access” instead of anyone with link. This will give direct access link instead.

    Christopher you are the best.  I have been banging my head against the wall all morning trying to get our staff directory to show in a list.  This solved it!

    Seen another post about this, I don't think images render in the list web part on modern pages.

    Hey Chris - you still there?  :-)

     

    Now I'm seeing another issue.  The List is now displaying the thumbnails & full-size images correctly, however, I have since pulled that list into a Site Page and now am seeing what appears to be the filepath of the images, rather than the images themselves.  I've attached a screenshot... got any ideas?  Thank you for your help thus far.

     

    Couple things to note:

    • When I click on the items on the page, it opens up the List item details, and thus from there I have no problem seeing the images/thumbnails.
    • The issue I'm seeing with the filepaths being displayed on the Site Page was occurring even before I published the page.

    Hard to say but if I had to guess the underlying guest link is linking to a different URL probabaly using the new built in file viewer string vs the old direct link approach. Cause that’s been a recent change. Would have to click the guest link and see what URL loads up and could probabaly tell. But since that’s been a recent change would be my guess.

    My man!  That worked.

     

    Not sure what changed, but I'll go back to the previously-uploaded images re-copy them into the list, this time with the "people with existing access" link.
