if we upload large documents, can we be in a situation where only part of the document is indexed
i am working on an online sharepoint site. and i have a question on how sharepoint search works in this situation:- 1. let say we have uploaded many large documents (MS word, PDFs, excel sheets, etc...

MicrosoftJohn...Once a document is uploaded the indexing of the document will begin within 15 minutes, depending on when the last time the indexer ran. You don't have control over this. The best option if you want to have a document show sooner would be to go into Advanced Settings of the library and click "re-index document library".
