I want that credentials are prompted for a specific sharepoint site.

Hello, I have a request from my management that they require anyone accessing a specific SharePoint site to have login again.[Login each time the site is accessed but not using SSO] I have M365 E3 license. My users sign in with SSO most of the time. Can someone kindly advise on how to get put such a mechanism in place?

    Hi AadilTeeluckdharry ,

I have never seen the ability to do this. It is not something that you can do in SharePoint Online, no setting exists. The only thing I could suggest would be to look at conditional access in Azure, it is possible to force external users to re-authenticate so I don't see why it wouldn't be possible to force users on one site to reauthenticate.

I would question the requirement though, if you have MFA enabled, which you most definitely should, there should be no reason to require re-authenticating.

Hi Andrew Hodges , thanks for the update. Indeed I am using MFA for all my users. I already gave a try with conditional access but unfortunately I do not see the option to apply it only to a single site collection.

Nevertheless, this request came from my management. I am looking for alternatives.

      Thanks,

      Aadil

        Hi AadilTeeluckdharry ,

Are you talking about a subsite?

I haven't used subsites in about 3 years as I don't see the need to anymore. Move the subsite or content to a site collection.  Outside of using ShareGate I am not sure how easy this would be.
