Hub news layout works for associated sites
Probably others have noticed but just in case: I noticed that the hub site layout can be applied to the associated sites. I like the format but I'm not sure 'select sites' should be available here.
I’m confused. It sounds like you are referring to the news webpart. And the source options of it. Selected sites is a must have for that. No reason not to have choice!
Indeed. Perhaps this is just me but...I have a hub site where have a selected sites layout option desirable but as far as I could see a connected site can also select a ‘hub site’ view when I expected only to see News from that site. I accept this is my take but I expected a site associated with a Hub Site only to see it’s own News not a roll up of the Hub Site News.
- There is an option for the current site on the source setting if I’m not mistaken. So you can show that site. Selected (multiple sources) or the hub news.
- Yes, of course, you’re absolutely correct. I guess I was expecting something context aware (for me) displaying relevant options (again in my simple view) . It is perfectly workable as it is.
