Hub Navigation
Hi All, I have some SP sites setup in a Hub structure. Intranet Hub with Hub sites TestHub1 and TestHub2 associated to it. TestHub1 has sites Test1,2,3 associated to it. TestHub2 has sites ...
- Jun 29, 2023The naming and the documentation are really confusing - but I happen to know for sure that Microsoft is working on better names and better documentation! If you are on the top level hub (Hub Site A) and Hub Site A has two "children" hubs - Hub Site B and Hub Site C, Associated Hubs shows the children hubs of Hub Site A at the moment that you select it. If you later associate Hub Site D to Hubs Site A, Associated Hubs will not automatically update. Associated child hubs is a label that makes absolutely no sense - but what shows you are "siblings" to Hub Site A. (other hubs associated to the same parent site as Hub Site A). My recommendation: ignore these links and labels entirely and instead, add navigation that makes sense to the story that you are trying to provide for your users.

/[SiteName]/_layouts/15/sites.aspx - is a system generated display of all the child sites of the current site (if it is a hub,) which is live and updates in real time. This page does not display child hub sites, however. This is a helpful link in hub navigation.
