How would you create an internal newsletter?

We have a group considering building an internal newsletter and which there are many tools for the job I'm wondering what SharePoint users and admins would recommend?

We have consider blogs and consider two downsides -- recent Word updates have consistently broken our ability to publish images to blogs. It hasn't been modernized yet and my concern is since we have had a reported bug about Word being broken for about 6 month it may not be the go forward.

Hub sites look like a viable option but what publish tools are available if we want to do off-line content building? What about alerting and notification of update? Any suggestions on workflows?

We don't currently use Sway but though this may be an option as it transitions from a Word world to a digital world.  It would be for upcoming events, etc to there will be logical sections and recurring structure.

It's great to have so many options but it makes it hard to choose the right one and then knowing which is best for long term support so we don't need to change process frequently.

Thanks in advance for suggestions!

I"m helping a client with this right now. Here is what we've decided to do.

    1. Use News Pages with custom metadata

    2. add News Web Parts to one or more web pages, using the Page Property filter and the custom metadata- this provides the ability for the news to be published in many different locations

    3. use the News Digest feature to send out emails with many articles.

    4. In Teams, add Tabs with links to SharePoint pages that contain the News Web Part

    5. we created a news page with common headings and sections and when its time to create a new article, we use the Copy of this Page menu item to get the article started in a consistent manner. (in the future there will be a Page Design feature that will eliminate the need to do this workaround)

Where is the e-mail digest feature managed? I would like to see if there is a way for me to initially subscribe an audience to the digest at X frequency.
