How users can add apps from the sharepoint store? there is not any option to do so
Hi John John,
From Request app installation permissions: "Typically, Full Control permission (or membership in the Site Owners group) is the minimum requirement."
In our tenant we disabled App Purchases. There were a number that were broken, had poor support, poor reviews, caused other issues etc. We do allow "approved" Apps but we want the opportunity to confirm that they are reliable and indeed useful.
I hope that helps.
Norm

Norman Young ok thanks for your reply. now i know about the request app installation process, where it will allow sharepoint admin to review any app purchase requests. but my question is how end users (non-admin users) can add/request an app from the sharepoint store. as when non-admin user access the site content page they will not get any link or module to allow them to search and request apps from the sharepoint store.. as shown in the pictures i have uploaded.

so you mean in your case "app purchases" are set to "No". so end users can request apps from the sharepoint store, but the app need to be confirmed by the admin first? to be honest i am not sure why by defualt we have the "App purchases" set to "Yes"?

john john I tested this on my tenant and the option to add an app only shows up for site owners. This includes the SharePoint Store.
"my question is how end users (non-admin users) can add/request an app from the sharepoint store"
They can't based on our mutual experiences.

Yes the request for a new App goes to the SPO admin. From a governance point of view I agree with you, App purchases should be set to no by default.

Norman Youngok thanks for your reply. so if end users can not access sharepoint store, then what is the purpose of the below "App Purchase" settings? looks confusing !!
