How to send out of the box search web part to SharePoint Modern search results page.

Sharepoint site, out of the box search web part on a classic page (wiki page). I tried a quick fix to point to the new results page without success. Any advice?

/_layouts/15/sharepoint.aspx?v=search&q=

the k= still gets tacked on. I know this isnt the solution but I was hoping for something quick and easy.
