How to prevent people requesting access to a specific page on a SharePoint Community site?

I keep getting access requests for a specific page on a SharePoint site. I then have to decline the request and add them manually to the entire site.

For example, someone sends a link to another person to an announcement I post on my site. The person that receives the link has to request access to the site. However, they are requesting only for that page/announcement.

I want people who request access to request access for the entire site, not just one page when they receive a link. How can I do this?

If they Share individual files and folders it works fine but if they share a Page the users need to have read access to the site in order to load "everything that surrounds the page".

Unless you store and manage confidential information on the site You could give all users read access to the site. Then you will not have this problem anymore (unless You have broken the access inheritance on the page you are mentioning, then you need to restore the inheritance on that).

    Regards, Magnus
