How to disconnect MS-Teams team from their respective SharePoint site
Don Kirkham Deleting the Team from the Admin Center deletes the M365 group.
- Star-DFeb 07, 2023Iron ContributorCan't you just restore the SharePoint site (before 93 days are up) from the SharePoint Admin Center and it would restore the site only, while still deleting the Team, M365 Group, mailbox, etc)?

I would have to work with my IT group to test it.

jenniferWoo , I think it should work. Though https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/sharepoint/restore-deleted-site-collection, so the trick is having the global SharePoint Admin restore the site before it is hard deleted.
This could potentially work for the other associated parts of Teams (eg. restore the mailbox or the M365 group without restoring the entire Team).
I am curious, though; when you said:

Did you mean you created Teams channels tied to pre-existing SharePoint sites (which I wouldn't expect to be affected by the Teams deletion), or just that you created channels within the Team, thereby automatically creating locations in SharePoint (library subfolders for Standard Channels, separate sites for Shared or Private Channels)?
- jenniferWooFeb 06, 2023Brass ContributorDoes this also affect any SharePoint Lists, custom List forms and Power Automate flows associated with the original SharePoint site?
- Star-DFeb 07, 2023Iron ContributorProbably, given that it also has an effect on other parts of Power Platform (like Power BI) associated with the MS Team: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/delete-a-team-c386f91b-f7e6-400b-aac7-8025f74f8b41#:~:text=Remember%3A,team%20will%20also%20be%20deleted
