How to copy alternate language site pages to another site
Hello,
I have a requirement to copy an alternate language site page to other sites. The source site has 2 languages; english (default and french as the secondary) I want to duplicate that configuration however when I copy the site pages using Share Gate (incl. the fr folder) the options don't match.
How can I copy the alternative language site page from one site to the other and it display as an option.

As far as I know, Share Gate can copy the English and French page files, but it does not always preserve the translation link between them. In SharePoint, the language switcher depends on the site’s multilingual settings and the page translation relationship, not just the fr folder. Because of that, copying the page and fr folder alone usually does not recreate the language linkage needed for French to appear as a language option.
To make this work, multilingual must be enabled on the target site, and the translation pages need to be recreated using SharePoint’s built-in Translate feature.
Also, please raise this with Share Gate support, as they may have a simpler workaround or a recommended migration approach for multilingual pages.
