How to change date format in sharepoint

Hi, I would like to set the date format to 'dd/MM/yyyy' instead of 'MM/dd/yyyy. Kindly please help.

    ikarafi go to site contents then site settings. Go to the site administration section of the site settings page and select regional settings and set the time zone and locale. The settings I use below put dates into dd/mm/yyyy format:
