How long until Manage Access Request email address goes into effect

Question

New sites do not have the Access Request Settings email address populated and access request messages are sent to the person who created the site.&nbsp; Once this value is populated with the correct person, how long does it take for SPOnline to start sending the requests to the new address?

Onprem, the change is instant as the code path flows through checking the populated value each time an access request email is sent.

I have not reviewed in detail this, but I'm pretty sure this feature relies on some timer job so you could check in an OnPrem installation the timer job name and figure out the execution frequency...I would bet that this access requests checking should happen quite often so a minute schema could be the option here

Thanks, i created a lot of Group enabled modern sites with powershell and I'm still getting Access Requests even though we have populated the address with someone else's address.

That's a different scenario...if you are creating modern sites what means access to the Group and the site Group is granted through the Group itself, it might be happening that the Groups themselves are not being synchronized correctly to the Group sites

It appears to me that since these are Group enabled site, the access request message gets sent to the person who create the Site and is listed as the Group Owner.&nbsp;
If this in fact the expected behavior. I can't find any documentation.&nbsp;
