How do I make a main hubsite link available on every SharePoint page and site?
- Apr 10, 2026
If your goal is to make the top‑level hub site link appear or be easily accessible across all hub sites, associated sites, and SharePoint Online pages, this can be achieved through the following approaches.
1. Hub Navigation Inheritance
This applies when you have a single primary Hub Site, and all other non‑hub sites are associated with this hub. If all sites are associated with the same hub (top level), the hub navigation automatically appears across all connected sites. Adding the top‑level hub link here ensures it is visible everywhere.
If you have multiple hub sites and you want the top‑level hub site link to be available everywhere across M365 and all SharePoint pages, below approaches to achieve consistent global link visibility
2. Add the Top-Level Hub Site URL to the Microsoft 365 App Bar / Top SharePoint Ribbon
A quick and effective option is to add a clickable logo or link to the Microsoft 365 App Bar. This bar appears across many Microsoft 365 apps (Planner, OneDrive, Outlook, SharePoint) except Teams, giving users one click access to the top-hub or site from anywhere.
You can configure this from:
Admin Center > Settings > Org settings > Organization Profile > Custom themes > Logo
3. Add a Featured Link on the SharePoint Start Page
If your tenant has not yet been upgraded to the new SharePoint.aspx experience, you can add a Featured Link. This allows you to place a prominent, always‑visible link to your central landing page, which users can access by clicking the Home icon or through the SharePoint App Bar.

Note: Microsoft is retiring the Featured Links capability on the SharePoint Start Page due to low adoption.

4. Make Your Top-Level Hub Site the "Home Site"
If you designate your main/ top level hub site as the Home Site, the Global Navigation feature becomes available.
Once enabled, the global navigation appears across all hub sites and associated sites, ensuring that all hub navigation links, including the central landing page are visible on all pages.
You can configure this from:
Admin Center > Settings > Viva > Viva Connections > Create and manage Viva Connections experiences > Create new
