How do i change the page editor back to the classic experience on Sharepoint Online 2019

I just cant find anything in the new experience when adding/editing web parts.

  • RioRene  Modern pages can only be edited via the modern experience using the modern webparts, where you edit the page, create sections with the left most +, and add web parts via the + in a section column.

If you want your old style webparts, you have to go to the site pages library and create a new 'wiki page' - that page uses the old web parts.

Try going into Advanced Settings for the Site Pages library and switching back to Classic experience...
