hide quicklaunch not working.

hi. i am one of the owners on this site. we went into navigation elements and unchecked quicklaunch and verified it but it's still on the left side.

you are in M365, are you using modern sites? Then, this setting don't work, it's only a classic setting. More information about modern vs. classic can you find here:

What you can do in modern, when you don't want your site navigation:
1. Change the look and use a horizontal navigation ( https://ganeshsanapblogs.wordpress.com/2021/09/17/new-navigation-features-for-sharepoint-team-sites/ )
2. Delete all your navigation links and the site navigation don't appears
