Hide Left-Hand Navigation in Document Library/Lists on SharePoint Online
Hey there,
I'm wondering how I can hide the left-hand navigation pane in a document library or list on SharePoint Online?
I have no menu items, the pane still appears. There are times when I access the list or library and it's not there, giving me a full view, however, when I refresh it disappears.

JeremyBritz I think you are using team site in SharePoint online. Microsoft recently released new features for team sites using which you change the orientation of left navigation (vertical) to top navigation (horizontal).
This is a permanent solution for moving left side navigation to top side. Solution given by PamDeGraffenreid works but it expands the page & open it in focus mode temporarily.
