Hashtags
Good Day
Earlier this week we finally got in our tenant the @mention capability in modern pages comments. Does anyone know if the ability to use/create hashtags will be introduced as well? Not sure I have seen something around this on the road map. Thanks!

Thank you all. Yammer may not be an option for us so if we are to rely on modern page comments alone we were wondering of further improvements. Anyone has heard perhaps having a threaded commenting structure (there is only 2 levels on page comments). Thanks!
- If your really needing threaded convo I’d suggest getting news feeds into a org wide team or something similar in teams. But obviously Teams would need to be in play.
- Only hashtag talk has been mentioned in Teams but that’s it that I’ve seen.
- The closest thing in SharePoint is using your term stores managed metadata fields. There is an enterprise key words field that is an open bucket for users to continually generate their own key words that are similar to hashtags.
- AFAIK, no plans at this moment to include hashtags in comments in modern SPO Pages
