Handling a large drop down field in a SharePoint list

Hi SharePoint users,

Our Engineering team is using a SharePoint list (classic) to track requests and assign them to team members. They would like to add a new item in the list to be able to select a product from a product line. Normally, I would create a new Choice column in the list to allow them to select the product but this drop down list is going to get very big since we have about 3000 products.  Is there any way we can make that a little more manageable? Thank you
