Greying out "Edit" and "Quick Edit"
Hi
Is it possible to disable "Quick Edit" and "Edit" for a SharePoint List so that users cannot edit a list but will be able to edit the list via PowerApps ?
Thanks
Nigel
- DeletedYou can disable quick edit in advanced settings of the list, however users must have edit rights to the list if they are doing edit functions in the PowerApp.

Thanks Christopher for this.
Can I grey out quick edit for a particular group of users ? or just all users ? or even all non - admin users ?
Yes Edit rights is an interesting discussion I am having on the PowerUsers discussion forum.
My contention is that going "behind" PowerApps and editing a list without using PowerApps is a Security flaw in PowerApps. USers should be using PowerApps with all of the business logic contained in it, not editing Lists directly which could easily corrupt the list or related lists.
- Deletedthat’s when you store your data in azure sql instance or some other place that’s not as easily accessible as going to Sharepoint and searching etc.
