Google image style search results in SharePoint

Hi everyone

I'm looking into customising some of our classic UI search pages and have been asked if I can create a Google-style image search results page, where the thumbnails of the images are shown in a grid type view similar to the following:

I've had a look and can't see any way of displaying the search results in this way.  As mentioned above, at the moment the search pages we have are in the classic UI but if the above is only possible using modern/SPFx then I could look into this as well?
