Friendly URLs on modern sites
I'm setting up a new intranet for a customer using modern communication sites. They want to use friendly URLs on their pages but since its not possible to turn on the publishing feature on modern sites we cannot use metadata navigation and therefore not setting up friendly URLs.
Have I missed something or is friendly URLs not supported on modern sites?

- AFAIK, it's not supported yet as you well mention but for sure it's coming at some point. I recommend you the following article: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/sharepoint/plan-navigation-modern-experience
