Folders not able to be moved or deleted

Hello, 

I recently created a sharepoint document library and have a few folders in the document library that are unable to be moved or deleted. I am the owner of the site, and have deleted all files within the folders I want to delete. From reading other posts, it seems that this could be due to deleting a channel in the associated Teams group, and the retention period of that channel. Is there any way to get around this? The only option I can think of seems to be creating a whole new team and copying relevant documents over to it.
