Folder Link Sharing
I'm trying to enable external sharing of files and folders on a Sharepoint Online site. I've looked at the options in the Sharepoint Admin Centre and set them how I want (view only, expire after 30 days) and it all works fine when sharing files but the "link sharing" options are still greyed out when I try to share a folder. There must be an option I'm missing somewhere but I can't find it - hoping someone here knows where I should look.

You might have "limited-access user permission lockdown mode" enabled. This prevents the sharing of folders. It is a site collection feature and can be disabled.
